After great success with our Rooftop playground as part of new Cardiac unit for Crumlin hospital in 2013, St Annes ward approached us to convert their very sheltered courtyard into a useable space.
The ultimate objective was to create a safe and secure area for children in the ward to use at their leisure.
The access points for hospital facilities were above ground height with a difference of 3 inches.
to adjust this potential trip hazard recycled plastic frames were manufactured off site and installed to exact specification and then infilled with crumb rubber surfacing thus reducing any fall to a minimum of risk.
The ward was delighted with the finished product and are really enjoying playtime in their new space.
